Indonesian Presidential Candidate Prabowo Subianto Rumored to be Campaign Fatigue
Mytips.id, NEWS - The National Campaign Team (TKN) of Prabowo-Gibran is assuring that the information regarding presidential candidate Prabowo Subianto being admitted to RSPAD due to campaign exhaustion is a hoax.
Deputy Chairman of TKN Prabowo-Gibran, Afriansyah Noor, stated that Prabowo is in good health and fit. According to Afriansyah, the information circulating in several WhatsApp groups is incorrect or a hoax. "That information is a hoax.
Mr. Prabowo is perfectly healthy until now," he told Bisnis in Jakarta on Wednesday (31/1). Meanwhile, the Head of RSPAD, Albertus Budi, confirmed that there is no patient by the name of Prabowo Subianto in RSAPD until tonight.
According to him, the information about Prabowo Subianto being brought to RSPAD due to campaign exhaustion is false, or in other words, a hoax.
"It's not true, it's a hoax," he said. Previously, a short message circulated through the instant messaging service WhatsApp claiming that Presidential Candidate Prabowo Subianto suddenly fell ill after campaigning in the Sumedang region and was rushed to RSPAD for treatment.
This is not the first time Prabowo has been accused of being sick and deemed unfit to lead the nation due to his poor physical condition.
Some time ago, the Indonesian Defense Minister himself was reported to be sick, even rumors spread about him having a stroke, vertigo, and brainwashing.
However, the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (Kominfo), through its official website, stated that the news is a hoax.
Deputy Chairman of the Gerindra Party, Budi Djiwandono, vehemently denied all accusations regarding Prabowo Subianto suffering from a stroke or other serious health complaints. His denial was conveyed when he accompanied Prabowo Subianto for a medical check-up (MCU) at the Gatot Soebroto Army Hospital.
Shortly after that, Prabowo was also claimed to be sick and unfit to run as the Indonesian Presidential Candidate.
However, Kominfo once again released a statement stating that based on their investigation, Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka had undergone a health assessment on October 26, 2023, carried out by a medical team appointed by the General Election Commission (KPU).
The results of the examination declared that Prabowo Subianto, along with other presidential and vice presidential candidates, met the requirements to participate in the Presidential Election 2024. Therefore, the video upload claiming that Prabowo Subianto is ill is untrue.
On January 24, 2024, Prabowo even danced energetically in front of journalists to dismiss the third rumor of him being sick. "Sick? Who said I'm sick? Hoax, hoax," Prabowo said at the Halim Air Force Base in Jakarta on Wednesday (24/1/2024).
